I feel differently about this song than you do. I don't think there is anything wrong with this song. You executed your intentions very well and I definitely get the chill vibe from this song. I particularly like the heavenly sustained piano you put in there; it was very tastefully done.

You have wonderfully composed leads and this piece is mastered very well. It is also pretty nostalgic to listen to having played games that use similar sounding instruments.

I could see this being used as mellow background music. I do think it's nice to have a soft part in a song and you nailed that. Just get some contrast in the mood of your song with some leads or melody.
